Shocking Truth

Its scary how my world view has changed with the crises in Palestine and how this is reported and people’s reactions. It is completely shocking, and it has led to open racism and not covert racism and real Islamophobia and trying to navigate that and find the ideal person.

People’s true selves as coming out and people are now factoring out people’s stances on these topics before they decide on if they want to proceed. The world is going through some big changes, and some truths have come out which have highlighted maybe who is running things. It’s no longer in hiding and whether you knew before there is no denying unless you are in denial or racist.

The rose colour glasses are no longer on, how we can say there is a democracy when the media are not reporting things, and there is biased reporting and things are not being reported as doesn’t fit the narrative the country want to present.

In the past we thought that the governance of the country was free from influence and not like the USA however people/companies have invested in campaigns for parties to become the party that rules and therefore they do factor in keeping their sponsors happy and this then leads to the interest of these outside influences being kept in mind of those who are running the country and doing the reporting

Who would have thought there would be a time where we do not have the right for peaceful protests and anyone who is not singing from the same hymn sheet is being shut down. Navigation of this world has become more complicated. People are seeing who we are and understanding what people value and maybe seeing themselves for who they are.

Due to the above people seem to feel that they can be more openly racist and biased and others less overt but trying to call it as looking after the country safety when in fact its not, just them showing their true colours and revealing their prejudices.

When our national identity is being questioned it can bring conflict as when to say certain things are seen as being unpatriotic or to disagree my make you a traitor. The need to be seen as patriotic can also make you loose focus on ourselves and resolve the bigger issues that need to be resolved.

We need to adapt to the new world and new realities and highlight our best qualities and be the person you want to be so we can look at ourselves in the mirror and say we have done our best.
